Terms of Service

Last updated: draft, not yet published

1. What ReelCap is

ReelCap adds styled, word-timed captions to short videos you upload. You can upload, preview, and edit captions without an account; an account is required only to export/download your captioned video.

2. Who can use ReelCap

ReelCap is intended for users aged 13 and older. By using ReelCap, you confirm you meet this requirement.

3. Your content

You retain ownership of videos you upload. You're responsible for having the rights to any video you upload and caption. Don't upload content you don't have the right to use.

4. Usage limits

Free accounts (including anonymous use before sign-up) are limited to a set amount of processing time per week, and to a shared daily limit across all free users during periods of high demand. Paid plans have higher monthly limits, described on our pricing page.

5. Payments

Paid subscriptions are billed and processed by Lemon Squeezy, our merchant of record. Lemon Squeezy handles payment collection and applicable taxes on our behalf; ReelCap does not directly receive or store your payment card details.

6. Account termination

You may stop using ReelCap at any time. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms or misuse the service (for example, abusing free-tier limits or uploading content you don't have rights to).

7. No warranty

ReelCap is provided "as is," without warranties of any kind. Transcription and captioning are automated and may contain errors — review your captions before publishing.

8. Limitation of liability

To the extent permitted by law, ReelCap's total liability for any claim relating to the service is limited to the amount you paid us in the six months before the claim arose.

9. Governing law and disputes

These terms are governed by the laws of Uzbekistan. Before either party initiates arbitration, we'll first try to resolve any dispute through informal negotiation for at least 30 days.
